The director of Tutoria Uno a Uno, Roger A. Ramirez, was born and raised in the Granadian community, and personally visits each of the families offering home-stay service to guarantee you a family that is clean, hospitable, and eager to speak to you (in Spanish, of course). Students and travelers pay directly to the families.
Home-stay with a Nica family:
Private room, 3 home-cooked meals per day, and laundry service for 7 whole days. Cost: $80 USD
Other dirty clothes the student might bring at arrival time, the family will charge extra for the service.
If the student is only interested in sharing time with a nica family to learn about our culture, to practice their Spanish speaking abilities, and to take advantage of the private room they offer with NO LAUNDRY SERVICE OR MEALS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE: $65 USD per week.
IMPORTANT: For those wishing to stay less than 7 days with a host family, payment must be $13 USD per day.
If the students does not wish to stay with a Nicaraguan family, they can make their own arrangements, or our staff can help with recommendations and reservations within the students price ranges at local hotels, guest-houses, B&B, etc.
